he is a half labrador, half rottweiler

My 5 month old Pitt does the same thing. It's normal, but not good. Train your dog and punish their bad behavior

They do that. Cat food is so full of protein a lot passes on through. There's stuff you sprinkle on the food and makes the poop distasteful and the pup will let it be. Ask at the pet shop. Oh, and in a month take a stool specimen to the vet for a fecal exam.

This website says, "Cat feces probably attracts dogs because cat food is higher in fat and protein than dog food, and consequently cat feces is too." Personally, I think sometimes puppies just eat poop. But, as it's already been said, you should train your puppy to not do that.

Puppies will eat ANYTHING, especially labs.. i have a 9week old black lab puppy and he eats rocks and goes to his own poop but you have to pull him away, yell "NO'' and push him off into another room..... it sounds mean but he will still love you:)

My dog buddy ate his poop. *gags* Make sure he doesn't do that again. If he/she does it again, squirt them with water. It may be a dog fase. It is ok for him/her to eat it, but it still isn't good for them. Make sure he stops or your dog will be really sick.

some pets do that. its normal at times. just watch out if they develop worms. you can consult a vet about it. have him checked for worms. you can probably find a powder at petco or even at a vets office that you can put on the pets food to make them not want to eat the poop....as weird as this sounds, there is 2 medicines that are commonly used that makes their poop taste bad to them.
